1. Introduction

Welcome to Insektly, developed by Evgenii Pestrev. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use our iOS application and related services.

2. Information We Collect

• No personal data storage: We do not store personal information or user inputs on our own servers.
• Photo processing: When you identify or analyze a plant, your photos are transmitted directly and securely to third-party AI services (OpenAI) via Firebase Functions.
• Analytics: We use TelemetryDeck to gather anonymous usage statistics (e.g., screen views, performance metrics). TelemetryDeck does not collect personal data.
• In-app purchases: Subscriber transactions are handled by RevenueCat and Apple In-App Purchase. We receive only non-identifiable receipts required to validate purchases.

3. Plant & Face Data

Insektly analyzes plants, not people. We do not run facial recognition, but a photo could incidentally contain faces. Such images are passed only to OpenAI for the brief time needed to produce results; they are not retained by Insektly.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To identify plants and estimate their health status.
• To maintain and improve Insektly (via anonymous analytics).
• To validate and manage subscriptions.

5. Sharing Your Information

We share data only as needed to provide the service:

• OpenAI – plant recognition & health analysis

• RevenueCat & Apple – purchase validation

• TelemetryDeck – anonymous analytics

  We never sell your data.
