CuraNook is developed and operated by Evgenii Pestrev ("CuraNook", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is processed when you use the CuraNook iOS application and its related services (collectively, the "Service").
CuraNook is designed as a local-first medicine-cabinet organizer. We do not offer a CuraNook account, display advertising, sell personal data, or use personal data for cross-app tracking. Core inventory data is stored on your device and may synchronize through your private Apple iCloud/CloudKit database. Optional AI and subscription features require limited information to be processed by service providers.
Because medicine records and questions may reveal health-related information, please read this Policy carefully. You can use manual inventory features without submitting package photos or chat messages to an AI provider.
Information you choose to create or save may include:
This information can reveal or imply health information, even if you do not enter a person's name. Do not include identifying information about yourself or another person unless necessary and lawful.
You may take a photo with the camera or select a package image through Apple's system photo picker. CuraNook does not request ongoing access to your entire photo library merely to use the picker.
The App normalizes and re-encodes selected images, which removes ordinary source metadata such as EXIF location data. CuraNook may keep optimized versions of confirmed package images with the related inventory record. It does not retain the original full-resolution file from your photo library as such.
During batch scanning, encrypted device-protected working images and a queue manifest may remain in local Application Support storage so work can continue after interruption. They remain until the batch is saved, completed, or discarded.
