1. Scope and operator

This Privacy Policy explains how Evgenii Pestrev (“Developer”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Steady iOS application or contact support.

The first release is intended for adults in the United States.

2. Privacy summary

The current release is designed around these principles:

• no Steady email/password account or Sign in with Apple;
• private app content is stored locally in encrypted form;
• AI-assisted Clear Reply is a principal Plus feature, but every network request remains user-initiated;
• after a separate Analyze action and consent, one to five selected chat screenshots are sent through AIProxy to OpenAI for image moderation and an editable AI transcript;
• purchase is not consent: Steady offers one optional AI consent screen during Normal Mode onboarding; choosing Not now defers the same consent to the first AI action;
• the selected text is sent for safety moderation, while the reply model receives only purpose, tone, and explicitly confirmed details;
• Private Session is memory-only and does not use AI;
• no sale of personal information;
• no targeted advertising or third-party behavioral analytics SDK;
• no access to HealthKit, Contacts, Calendar, or Location; and
• an in-app local-data deletion control.

“Local-first” does not mean that nothing can leave your device. Information leaves when you expressly use AI, make a purchase through Apple, contact support, open a website, place a call, or send a text.
