This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our iOS application and related services.

2. Information We Collect

• No personal data storage: We do not store personal information, photos, or user inputs on our own servers.
• Photo Processing: When you identify a mushroom, your photos are securely transmitted to third-party AI services (e.g., OpenAI) through Firebase Functions for identification and are not stored after processing.
• Analytics: We use TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous usage statistics (such as screen views, app performance, and feature usage). TelemetryDeck does not collect personally identifiable information.
• In-app purchases: Subscription transactions are managed by Adapty and Apple In-App Purchase. We only receive non-identifiable receipts necessary to validate purchases.

3. Mushroom Image Data

ShroomAI analyzes mushrooms, not people. We do not perform facial recognition or collect biometric data.

However, if a photo incidentally includes a person or identifiable object, it is processed only transiently by the AI service and is not retained by ShroomAI.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to:

• Identify mushrooms and generate related insights (e.g., species name, edibility, habitat, season).
• Improve the app experience through anonymous analytics.
• Validate and manage in-app subscriptions.

5. Sharing Your Information

We share limited data only as required to provide our services:

• OpenAI – image recognition and text generation.
