CuraNook is a local-first iPhone app for organizing a household medicine cabinet. You can record medicine packages and batches, quantities, remaining units, expiry and opening dates, cabinet locations, notes, and shopping items. CuraNook can also create local expiry reminders, show widgets, recognize package details with AI, retrieve general source-backed medicine information, and provide a cabinet assistant.

No. CuraNook does not diagnose, prescribe, calculate doses, choose treatment, or replace a doctor, pharmacist, official leaflet, poison-control center, or emergency service.
AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Always verify medicine-specific information on the physical package and with a qualified healthcare professional. For a child, pregnancy or breastfeeding, allergies, chronic disease, possible interactions, prescription medicines, or severe or worsening symptoms, consult a qualified professional before use.
If someone may be experiencing an emergency, poisoning, overdose, severe allergic reaction, breathing difficulty, loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, suicidal intent, or rapid deterioration, contact local emergency services or a poison-control center immediately. Do not wait for CuraNook.
Take or select one to three photos showing the medicine package. CuraNook normalizes and re-encodes the selected images, then sends them through AIProxy to OpenAI only after you start analysis. The AI extracts visible details such as the name, strength, dosage form, package size, expiry date, lot number, and manufacturer.
You always review the result before it is saved. If text is unclear, conflicting, or missing, take a clearer photo and verify the physical package manually.
After you confirm a package identity, CuraNook may send the medicine's identity fields through AIProxy to Perplexity, or to OpenAI with web search as a fallback, to look for public regulator, manufacturer, registry, or other source material. CuraNook shows source and evidence status when available.
An official-looking source does not guarantee an exact match for your country, formulation, strength, or package. Always check the jurisdiction and physical leaflet. If no matching source is found, the App may show a limited AI overview clearly marked as unverified.
