StuffID - Terms of Use

Last updated: May 2, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the StuffID app ("App" or "Service"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

StuffID is an iOS application that helps users catalog and organize items across one or more homes, identify items and retrieve estimated market valuations using AI technology provided by third-party vendors (currently OpenAI and Google Gemini). Requests are routed through our secure proxy server. Inventory data is stored locally on your device and may be synchronized across your devices via Apple iCloud under your Apple ID. Results generated by AI are produced automatically and may contain errors or inaccuracies.

3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Access to premium features is offered via subscription or one-time purchase:

Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The Lifetime option is a one-time, non-recurring purchase and does not auto-renew. Payment processing and subscription management are handled by Apple. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.

We may change prices, subscription terms, or benefits prospectively. Any material changes will be communicated in-app or on our website. Lifetime purchases made before a price change remain valid under the terms in effect at the time of purchase, subject to ongoing service availability.

Refunds: All in-app purchases are subject to Apple's refund policies. Please contact Apple Support for refund requests.

Note: Subscription and Lifetime access are subject to the usage caps in Section 4.

4. Usage Limits and Fair Use

To maintain service quality and prevent abuse, usage caps may apply per account across all devices, including caps on AI scans, item entries, and synced homes. When a cap is reached, requests may be queued, rate-limited, or temporarily blocked until usage falls below the cap. We may adjust caps from time to time to maintain service stability; any material changes will be communicated in-app.

Circumvention prohibited: Creating multiple accounts, device spoofing, automation/scripting, or other methods intended to bypass or inflate limits are prohibited and may result in suspension or termination under Section 9.

5. Service Availability & Third-Party Dependencies

The Service relies on third-party AI providers, Apple iCloud, and network infrastructure. Availability may be affected by provider outages, rate limits (e.g., HTTP 429), maintenance, or events beyond our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and are not liable for delays, failures, or data loss arising from such events, including any loss or corruption of iCloud-synchronized data caused by Apple's systems.
